Python
Five for Friyay
It’s been too long since I posted my five favorite links of the week. Continuing that theme for today, here are five links from my Friyay (Friday).
1. A new code editor
Tonight, I installed the Zed code editor on a whim, and to my surprise, my LSP was automatically picked up and just worked. Zed was a surprisingly productive experience. I even spotted a bug in one of my projects that I needed help to figure out earlier today.
2. My favorite theme
I wasn’t impressed with Zed’s default theme, so I searched the Dracula website and found a Dracula Theme for Zed. Dracula is one of my favorite themes, and they have custom-built themes for over 370 different apps.
3. A new to me Python library
shelmet is a nice wrapper around Python’s subprocess. The API is clean, and it has a nice wrapper around using temporary environment variables, which has been helpful for me.
4. The best presentation tool
Deckset is the best tool for quickly writing nice-looking presentations using markdown. After years of being in private beta, they released their iOS/iPad version publicly.
5. A long read for the weekend
This exhaustive review of the Vision Pro is everything I have been looking for and more to get a feel for what the Vision Pro can do.
Have thoughts?
