📚 Universal Principles of Typography book review

Based on a few recommendations, I recently picked up the Universal Principles of Typography book. The author noticed a few of us talking on Mastodon, which prompted me to write a review on Amazon. They seem nice and here is my review:

    tl;dr The book is excellent.

Each of the 100 key concepts has two side pages in a show-and-tell format that leads to the “tell.”

The first page explains the typography concept in conversational form, making the concept feel approachable and easier to understand. The second page shows practical examples and diagrams showing the concept applied. This format works well.

Each concept stands independently, making picking and choosing what to learn easier without the pressure of understanding everything before advancing.

If you want to learn more about Typography or have bought other Typography books and struggled, this is an excellent book to add to your collection.
